Before co-founding Grove Ozment, Matt practiced at Jackson Lewis P.C., a leading Am Law 100 labor and employment firm. He also clerked for U.S. Magistrate Judge Mary Gordon Baker in the District of South Carolina and Judge William H. Seals, Jr. in the South Carolina Circuit Court.
Matt earned his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he contributed to the American Bar Association Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Journal. He graduated cum laude with honors from the University of Georgia in 2007.
Personal
Matt and his wife, Whitney, live in Greenville with their three daughters, four dogs, and three horses. They are active members of Village Anglican Church. Outside of work, Matt enjoys golf, the outdoors, and cheering for Georgia Bulldogs football.
